Food isn’t like it used to be. Now a days with genetically modified food it seems that we are all turning into artificial humans (I wouldn’t be surprised if that is where the world is going).
First you need a seed to grow something, and many of the seeds these days are GMO (genetically modified organism). Once you have the seed then you need quality soil to plant that seed, and harvest it at the appropriate time.
Not to mention the chemicals called pesiticdes that seemingly some farmers (not all). There are 3 different kinds of pesticides; herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides. They are each used to kill different kinds of pests found on the farm, and thus farmers that do not use these chemicals are called organic.

Once we buy the food from the market we take it home for food preparation, and while we do not know how long it has been sitting in the market, and depending on how we cook it it may have lost its nutrients.
Fun Fact in order to conserve food, put it in the freezer!
An example of food deterioration is with Vitamin C - the moment you open a fruit with vitamin C the content begins to degrade at a fast rate due to the exposure to oxygen.
So what should you do about all this???
Start your own garden.
That really is the best way to conserve, and optimize our health and I think that is where our communities are heading! Too many people are losing out on the nutrients they need and body craves. It is unfortunate that the world is heading in the direction it is with food, and albeit it may turn into something good….
I believe humans come from the dirt and therefore will return to the dirt at death. We should be eating food that literally made us because we are made up of it!
What is another solution…?
Use supplements.

I'm with ya 100% Big Y! Non GMO, organic if possible and when it comes to our fishy friends wild caught please. NO farm raised! And I have just started with the cod liver oil supplement. Icelandic and from fish that are wild caught. I had to pay a bit more for the wild caught label but I sucked it up and paid LOL A teaspoon in the morning. Too early to report any effects. But since I don't eat as much fish as I should I thought it would be a nice way to reap some of the benefits. Bones, joints, heart and hopefully even some eye health. I want my 20/20 vision back LOL
